It became therapeutic tradition in the groups I developed over my counseling career to open each presentation with Words of Wisdom. Numerous clients spoke of the amazing empowerment this little gesture contained. Some even started sending me poems and quotes, some of their own creation. It has become somewhat of a legacy for many. And for myself as well.
I would like to open this category with one such quote, confident it will find the heart that was meant to hear it...somewhere...
“Stop trying to heal yourself, fix yourself, even awaken yourself. Let go of letting go. Stop trying to fast-forward the movie of your life, chasing futures that never seem to arrive. Instead, bow deeply to yourself as you actually are. Your pain, your sorrow, your doubts, your deepest longings, your fearful thoughts, are not mistakes, and they aren’t asking to be healed. They are asking to be held. Here, now, lightly, in the loving arms of present awareness…”

Much gratitude for these words being presented here. And might I reply with more words of wisdom from Maya Angelou:
"When we know better,
We do better".
